This conference celebrates the efforts of students and their mentors/advisers and offers students a unique opportunity to share their work with fellow members of the Adelphi academic community.
Undergraduate and Graduate students may present posters, oral presentations (accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation), and other creative works appropriate to the discipline, such as sculpture, paintings, graphics, poetry, and the like.
Our research conferences are designed to highlight the broad scope and outstanding caliber of student research from every school and discipline. Students are invited to submit their research relating to class projects, independent studies, seminars, or research assistantships. Presentation of works-in-progress is acceptable and encouraged.
You can present your research in the form of a digital poster (ePoster) or oral presentation (typically accompanied with a powerpoint presentation. See guidelines below for both presentation formats.
Although typically classes are not held on Research Day, please talk to your professors as soon as possible to let them know that you are interested in presenting on Research Day.
The deadline for abstract submission is February 24, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
Adelphi is eliminating paper-waste and cost by adopting FREE digital poster presentations with ePosterBoards®. Presentations will be displayed on high definition, flat panel screens during the poster session.
Traditional paper posters will not be accepted. ePosters give you the flexibility to have several slides of content (rather than just one), the ability to embed videos and animations, as well as the freedom to work on your poster until the last minute. After your abstract is accepted, you will be required to submit an electronic version of your poster approximately 1 week before the conference day. You will be notified when and how to submit it.
Deadline for submission of eposters online: April 10. We strongly encourage you to submit your powerpoint online by the deadline date.
